How long will this process take?

There is no way to predict this, as each of us is unique and brings numerous past and present issues to the process.  After 2-3 sessions at the most, you should feel lasting, positive changes from your MFR treatment.  Your personal involvement during this process will be an important part of the healing process.

What is your session length and frequency?

I offer 90-minute therapy sessions.  Multiple sessions (2-3 per week) are a tried and true model for making huge shifts and changes.  Session frequency is determined at the end of the first session and re-assessed along the way.

Why hasn’t my Doctor recommended Myofascial Release?
More and more physicians are becoming aware of the benefits of Myofascial Release, but sadly, many believe that physical therapy is just that, physical therapy, with no specialization for the practitioner or patient/client.  MFR is a nationally taught accredited treatment modality available to a wide variety of health professionals.  Also, many physicians are financially penalized for referring patients to therapists outside of their HMO Network.  This really penalizes you, the consumer.  Therapists who work within the HMO setting are able to only provide you with brief interactions, as limited reimbursement rates require them to see a large number of patients within a brief period of time.  MFR techniques need continuous presence and interaction by the therapist in order to achieve its maximum potential, and cannot be done in a rushed manner.
